Mom and Dad arranged with a couple of their friends to all meet at the park on Sunday 16 December 2001. The two ladies - Nancy and Jill - also have terriers. This is my first meeting with Watson the Airedale Terrier.

My great, great Aunt Annie didn't take well to other dogs - so Mom has me on a very short leash. But I think Watson looks kind of nice. I'll sniff him just to be sure.

Jill helps with Terrier Rescue. She says Watson has only been with her a few weeks.

Watson is very well behaved. He sits when told - not me boy - I'm working on forgetting about all that training stuff! Besides - I see more terriers coming.

This is Nancy with Charlie (a wire fox terrier and schnauzer mix) and Cymru a schnauzer. Nancy works with the Terrier Rescue group also. Both Charlie and Cymru are rescued terriers. I met them before. So I'll just say Hi.

Don't panic Mom - it's cool. As long as Charlie is polite I won't bite his face off. We're just getting re-acquainted!

I'm getting to like the park. There is s-o-o-o much to see. Ducks, birds, dog, people - and all the smells!

It's kinda nice to have friends. But being terriers, none of us is going to want to appear to very interested in anybody but ourself. So we all try to go off in separate directions.

I almost forgot - you don't know Jill's other dog. Tory is a wire fox terrier - that's her standing on the curb.

You can see this is a really nice park with a stream, picnic tables and lots of trees. Hey Tory - don't get to close to my Mom - I might get jealous if she pets you.

You people better think up something to entertain us - cause us terriers are getting bored just standing around while you talk!

Yes, Watson is a very handsome terrier and all that - but Mom you don't have to pet him!

Dad thought it would be "cute" to line us all up for a picture. You can see some of us sit still better than other!

Well, Dad ALMOST everyone was looking at the camera that time!

That's it - we're bored again. Five terriers will never sit still and all look at the camera at the same time. Just forget it - we're out of here.
