Tim Trout
Dallas, Texas
Age - 32

I have been married for about 10 1/2 years We met in college when I was pitching for a small college in Iowa and she was at a much larger school in Illinois. We don't have kids, just dogs. We have 2 dogs now. We lost one about a year ago to cancer.

My favorite track is Texas. . .of course. I have been to every race since my first one here in 2000.
My favorite moment was my first race here, Dale Jr. picked up his first Cup win My favorite drivers are Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick, I can't pick just one.

I collect a bit of everything.

I started with baseball cards. . .and I haven't stopped. I love baseball and I'm a die-hard Cubs fan. Always have been and always will be!

I collect Racing Cards and Die-Casts.
I want one of every Jeff Gordon and one of every Kevin Harvick card. I also collect all of Gordon's Elite die-casts and Harvick's standard Action Racing Collectables die-casts. (1:24s only) I also pick up cool die-casts, regardless of which driver it is. I have the 2003 Richard Petty '75 Charger on my want list now along with an elite Earnhardt Crash Car. Another thing on my to-do list is send off my '88 Maxx set for some TTM autographs. I also collect NHRA. . .I know I probably shouldn't talk about that here but. . .I collect Ashley Force. You may remember we did a column with her for quite some time in the magazine. She is still in contact with us. She is very cool.

Other stuff in my collection:
Basketball - Air Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Tyson Chandler and all current Bulls. (Guess what my favorite team is.
Football - Walter Payton. The Bears are my team, but I also follow the Cowboys. I live in Dallas, I don't have much choice.
I also collect those Riddell mini helmets. I have every NFL team with a ton of throwbacks, and I working on the NCAA teams. I will be adding the new mini driver helmets next. Riddell just started those, but I hope they add more. I honestly collect everything! My wife can't get enough of my collecting. . .no wait. Actually she is cool with it, she just thinks I need to trim some of the quantity back and get more focused. I will throw out a number, but please don't be scared. . .I have between 300,000 - 500,000 cards. All sports. . .however it is mostly baseball. I have been collecting baseball since 1980. I started collecting Racing in 1999. I've purchased a few collections, which is how I got to that level. I split a 100 monster box lot with a buddy...that was my biggest purchase. I am still going through those cards.

My favorite piece is my Kevin Harvick 2003 Action Racing Collectables Historical No. 3 Goodwrench black numbers die-cast.
My favorite card is my 1991 Traks Jeff Gordon RC. It was the first card in my NASCAR collection. I have been adding as many of those as I can. Again, I'm big on quantity.
One other piece that I have that is really cool is the chunk of sheet metal from Greg Biffle's wrecked Subway car at TMS after an interview. If you remember when he and Kurt Busch got into a scrape about 3 years ago and there was a scene in the pit stalls between their ladies. I was given the piece by one of the crew members after I interviewed Biffle on collecting after he was out of the race. He was standing around drinking a Coke after most of the "BIG" media had moved on and I talked to him for a couple minutes.

I am on eBay constantly. I can't get enough. I have also found that there are a ton of good deals on our Beckett Marketplace.

Beckett is a cool place to work. I get to bust packs before everyone else even sees the product, which is great. I enjoy getting up and going to work because I work with cards and die-casts. Oh, and I get to follow sports, talk sports and breathe it all day long. Most of the other guys there are pretty cool too. . .even the Hockey guys.

I think I may me one of the biggest Card Geeks at the office. I'm not ashamed to admit that I am one. I love cards.
