How long collecting first pack bought was 1990 Maxx ...bought 2 boxes ...then dabbled in die cast ...would open a box every few months from 96 to 99 what got you into it was already collecting Mark McGwire and was semi following racing in about 90...
How long a race fan 1990/1991 started to keep up more with who was winning ... what got you into racing I guess there is a little Nascar driver in all of us..plus being from the south I think it is in our genes to be Nascar fanatics....
Favorite driver past and present Dale Sr....Dale Jr
Favorite racing moment Never forget it ...I can still tell you where I was and who was with me...it was the first race I ever sit and watched beggining to end.... The 1993 Charlotte "Coca Cola 600"
Favorite track Dega...went to the spring 2003 race ...watched Jr come back after being in the wreck to break the rules and win the race...he passed under the yellow
What you collect and how I collect Dale Sr race used ....and pick up the occasional autograph...main focus is to have every Sr Press Pass race used card ever made....
How did you get the nickname I think it was a combination of having someone from Beckett back in the old days call me Card Pimp...I then called Scott Freeburn my "CARD PIMP" and when he retired from pimping the torch was passed on to me....amazing thing his he and I can both remember our first transaction....november 04 2002...little over 5 years ago...he was selling a Sr 2000 Wheels checkered flag with the orange / blue/ white ...card was ending on a sunday night...I had contacted him..and asked if the card went for stupid money if I could make payments...he said yes...I stayed home and won it...and he let me make payments and took a 2001 Harvick 2 color hobby sheetmetal in as part of the deal....that was the beginning of where I am today...if I hadn't gotten the Sr flag chaser I would have never known Scott..and how many high end people he knew...what was the question???
What you like best about nuts that one is tough....the friendships and bonds that we form ...just by our common love for the sport and the hobby.....we laugh ...cry ...and play togather in a protected area....
Brief testiment this is a huge part of who I am ...I take being the PIMP and one of the people that help keep NUTS nuts...as a big responsibility...I hope that I never disappoint and we can continue to have fun and build friendships and collections in the privacy of our little spot on the web... and I don't promote smoking...
