Name: Reily Purcupile
Age: 29
Location: Fairbanks, Alaska
Occupation: done many things, self employed artist & caretaker at the moment.....
something I'm most proud of is fishing on the long liner Constitution a few years back, it really is one of the toughest jobs out there, fishing on the Bering sea....
Married: No, haven't found that special someone yet.... heh..
Children/pets: No children, A cat named Kitty... lol
never was a cat fan until I saw her!
Hhobby outside of collecting: Love to fish, play golf, cook, draw, airbrush, watch Dale Jr. fly around the ol track and watch the Washington Redskin's even though they've stunk for the last 16 years...
Favorite race: Thats hard... . I love different characteristics of many tracks! So I can't exactly choose one....
I like the wide open racing of the super speedways like Talladega & Daytona, nothing like it....
like the short tracks for the intensity and hairpin turns.. . Nothing like Bristol, my neck hair stands up every time before the race...
I like the oddball tracks like Dover, Pocono & Darlington.. they have a a distinctiveness to them....
and last but not least the road tracks because a driver really has to prove he knows his way around that gear box and can carry momentum through the corners.
Favorite racing moment: Another hard one, but I would have to say anytime Dale Jr. and Sr. were racing together!
the ending at Darlington between Ricky Craven & Kurt B. was pretty cool.... lol
Favorite driver past/present: present Dale Earnhardt Jr., Sr. & B.P. for past drivers...
Who do you collect: Dale Earnhardt Sr. & Jr. for the most part, plus some Hamlin and going to start a little Bowyer collection too.
How do you store or display: I like to store anything of value in sleeve and top loader, I have many white boxes they go into from there.
don't have much of a display... I tend to display the latest pick ups or pulls for awhile and rotate as there picked up!
Favorite press pass release: Legends, just seems like you can get it all in there!
Favorite piece: Well my Favorite would have to be my Benny Parsons Legends Artifacts Silver Sheet Metal, It has 2 colors of sticker yellow/blue, Red paint, Grey Primer and a corner of the cars sheet metal showing!
Guess the main reason for picking that one would be that it's old school, most people don't realize they don't use much paint on cars now days.... and I grew up in a body shop as a kid, I can still smell the primer & bondO.... lol
and since the collection is a joined effort between my dad and I his pick would be the 1994 Maxx Medallion 99SP D.Earnhardt 1988 428/999, he pulled the redemption from 94 maxx med. card is in perfect condition & has the two original certificates of authenticity!
(cards are in my photobucket)
Best trade/ and or purchase: I'm new to purchasing and trading, but I have acquired two Jr. Autos and a Sr. plus some cool r/u from N.U.T.S. since I've been a member, I like all 3 autos, but I would say the 1996 VIP Sr. Auto is my Fav. though!
Brief summary of collection: if you could call it a collection!!!! lol, I'm kidding.....
I'm constantly in aw when I look at some of the collections you guys have going on.....
My collection consists of a lot of cards from 1994-96, I'm working on it so it's a work in progress, I never bought or traded for a Sr. or Jr. until I became a nuts member so I'm kinda a green horn you could say....
What you like best about nuts: Everything about N.U.T.S.!!! I like how someone will go out of there way to help another for no personal gain other then the satisfaction of making someone else happy! I like the family atmosphere, the comin bond we all have from our love of Nascar and collecting nascards.
Brief statement: I hope to be a member of this great site for many more years, I feel very lucky to have been invited here & will always appreciate that! Made allot of great friends along the way too, I hope to make many more as time goes on and hopefully help out with some collections on the way!
