Name - Scott Myers
Age - 25
Type of Job - Shift manager at the local Dollar General
Marital Status - Married (will be one year October 23rd)
Children - None
Pets - None since the loss of my beloved Hubert a little over a year ago - a carp I raised from a baby and had for four years.
Favorite Dish - Shrimp Scampi
Favorite Music - I listen to such a varied array its impossible to choose!
Favorite Movie - Probably Ocean's Eleven
Favorite Actor - We'll go with Hugh Laurie
Favorite Actress - Katherine Heigl - but don't tell my wife!
Favorite Author - Michael Crichton - for fiction - but Kenn Kaufman is a great storyteller!
Jimmy Kimmel,David Letterman, or Jay Leno - Try Jon Stewart - no news like the fake news!
If you were stranded on an Island, who would you want there - Undoubtedly the Verizon guy, wouldn't be stranded too long!
Who or what you collect - Primarily Ricky Craven cards, also collect Lake Speed. I have never really been into a lot of the other memorabilia. I pick up the occasional die-cast or postcard if I find them cheap enough though!
Favorite Card in your collection - 2005 Press Pass Signings Gold of Craven (first Gold Signings for me) and a card I picked up off of our very own Eric (nhtrader71) - a 2002 Pitstopper Driver Series of Craven - I mean - it's only FOUR friggin colors!!!
Favorite Diecast in your collection - A 1/24 Tide Give Kids the World car I had been looking for with no luck - then found one on the clearance rack at Target!
Favorite Car - I think it was a car John Andretti drove some years back - had a giant Pillsbury Doughboy on the hood - cracked me up!
Favorite Race Tracks - Love road courses - and by road courses I mean Watkins Glen, but my favorite track is Richmond. The racing there is great, plus on the EA Nascar games - I whoop em there - bad!
Favorite Racing Moment - Easily it was Ricky winning by a hair at Darlington. Was at college and watched the race with my then fiancee now wife - she got a bit airborne courtesy of yours truly!
Hobbies outside of collecting - I am a diehard birdwatcher. Try to see 200 species a year - I'm close right now - 197. One big day would easily put me over the top - just need to find someone to do it with!
What brought you to nuts - I kept seeing everyone talk about doing this or that on Nuts while I was on the now defunct SCS. Poked around and found the site and joined up. Glad I did - great bunch of people here!
Favorite thing about nuts - The atmosphere. A lot more family like than the other boards I have been a member of. STC was nice and then was taken out back and shot by its weasel of an owner - but the site still didn't compare to here.
If you were Kyle Busch you would? Grow up.
3 people you would like to eat dinner with (dead or alive) and why. I think I had this very same question on an essay I had to do for my college scholarship. I could not tell you who I put in there - but it was total crap. Lied so badly through my teeth because if I had put who was on my mind (sports and TV stars) they would have made me pay them lol. At this point in my career/life - I'd probably go with super birders - Kenn Kaufman (has his own books - lives here in the state), Bill Whan (a great natural historian for this state - looks kind of like Red Green!), and my college ornithology professor Carl Hoagstrom.
Most Influential person in your life - My wife. She keeps me in line, gives me support when I need it. can't ask for much more than that!
Favorite movie quote - Go sell crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here (at least I think that is the quote from Jack Nicholson in As Good As It Gets)
Least Favorite movie - The Village. If they had saved that Ôrevelation' to about five mintues from the end - brilliant film - but no. They give it all away half way through and now I have to sit here for another however long knowing the mystery is solved.
Least Favorite food - Mushrooms. They smell like feet and I can only assume that what they taste like is also feet - though not a big foot sucker here.
Least Favorite actor - Actress - Jessica Simpson. I think I get dumber every time she talks.
Closing Statement - I absolutely love coming here and reading all the stories, seeing all your collections, and trading with all of you. You have given me reason to get back into this hobby and stay in it
