This is a product that many collectors have been requesting for years.

The question is did Press Pass deliver a high end product which would make the collector go WOW. We know the price did, what about the cards?

N.U.T.S received our box yesterday, from moment one you knew it was different. This is the first time I have ever had to sign for anything with UPS.

The packaging is great, with the three packs coming in a black box with black lining. Each of the three packs contains five cards.

Beginning with the base set called first gear, this product delivers one of the most limited products we have seen. Each of the base set cards is only numbered to 499. The foil design/metallic ink really work well with these cards. Subtle with enough little details to make the colors stand out. These would be an insert in a lower end product.

As with every product the base set has parallel versions. There are three parallel levels.

2nd gear [gold] is numbered to 125.

3rd gear [green] is numbered to 50

Fourth gear [melting foil] is numbered to only 15.

These limited numbers should make the base set and parallels very sought after.

In our box we received 9 1st gear, 2 2nd gear and 1 third gear.

Without seeing the 4th gear, 3rd gear is my favorite because the green really sets the card off.

In each box you receive and average of one autograph and two race used memorabilia cards. We received our three guaranteed hits.

Our two memorabilia cards are the elite exhibit triple race used cards numbered to 99. The cards look amazing and in any other set would be an awesome hit. However with the price of this product multi colors should be the standard.

The autograph we received is numbered to 45 and is none other than the KING. Richard's autograph doesn't disappoint nor does it fit in the space provided. Richard provides a flamboyant autograph that is fitting for this flamboyant set.

This box contained some really great cards. We received our guaranteed hits, but nothing with BAM factor. We missed out on some of the nicer pieces that are out there. With a set priced like this you expect more. Many of the boxes contain cards that send you into a 1 minute coma.

This particular box rates a C, but the product itself gets an A+.

Press Pass has achieved their goal. They have given us a high end product that racing collectors can be proud of. They have given us a product in which the base set is even desirable. That is probably the biggest surprise with this set. Press Pass has made a base set that many will want but fewer than 500 will obtain.

If I were press pass next year this would be the last product of the year. There are so many great cards in this set, its going to be hard for other products to impress. This should be the yearly grand finale.

With all of this being said if you buy this product wanting to get your money back its probably not going to happen. It is not the products fault, the economy has changed everything for people. If this product had been released two years ago the prices would be unreal.

If you buy it wanting some of the best cards ever made for racing you WIN. It is a dynamic set that is eye pleasing from the first card.
