2010 Professional Bull Riding 8 Seconds - February 6, 2010

Press Pass has moved into a non traditional trading card market with its PBR rodeo set. Prior to their merger with press pass Wheels did this back in 1995. That was a great set, with nice photos and some of the sports biggest stars. The difference in that set and todays PBR set is the same as 88 MAXX vs Showcase.

Press Pass is really putting more details into its packaging. The box art for the PBR set is eye-catching. It features a rider on a bucking bull, the product name resembles a big belt buckle and the background appears flame like.

The wrappers feature the real stars of the rodeo. The bulls!

The set starts with a 100 card base set. The photos are really well done. The head shots are vivid colors an some of the photos are full length. The bulls cards take up a good portion of the set. They feature the bulls on front and his stats on the back. Its amazing to read what some of these animals have accomplished. Also their are action shots featuring the bulls doing their best to throw the rider.

Next are two inserts sets. They are spur crazy and belt buckle.

Spur crazy is a 12 card set that is inserted 1 in 6 packs. The front of these cards feature a close up of the rider on the bull. The photographs on the back could are first rate also and could have been cards themselves.

The belt buckle cards are inserted 1 in 12 packs. This is a nine cards et that is embossed foil. The cards feature a back ground that resembles a belt buckle. With the rider on bull on top of that.

What would any Press Pass product be without the hits. This set delivers 6 hits per box with 3 autographs and 3 event used.

The autographs have a clean on card design and remind me of the legends cut autographs of recent years. There numbered variations also.

The event used are extremely done well. The really cool thing about these cards is the picture of the clothing item on back. It shows what item this piece came from. These also have numbered parallel versions.

There are even dual piece cards of certain riders and I would love to see one of those.

You do not have to be PBR fan to realize that Press Pass produced high quality product. There was a lot of thought and innovation put into this product. I would love to see the clothing pictures carried over to future products of all releases.

This is as nice of a set there is. Go pick up some of these boxes you wont be disappointed.
