Kiss 360 box review - September 2009

First off, this is a must for Kiss fans. A set like this that spans the total career of one of the most colorful, dramatic, extreme rock-n-roll bands ever formed, is a must have.

Box contains 24 packs with each pack containing 5 cards. Base set contains 90 cards with both color and black and white photos ranging from kiss' early days to information on the new cd and tour.

Base Set

cards 1-9 are unmasked. A subset depicting Kiss photos, in color, in concert without the makeup. Each card back gives information on how they wrote certain songs

cards 10-18 are 2009. All cards are in color and give information on the back about the new cd and tour.

cards 19-36 are behind the curtain. Both color and black and white photos grace the fronts and backs of this subset. These cards tell stories of how the band prepares for a show.

cards 37-45 are the demon speaks. both in color and black and white. the backs are quotes from Gene, ranging from home to failures.

cards 46-54 are behind starry eyes. again both black and white and color photos with quotes from paul.

cards 55-65 are road stories. both color and black and white fronts and backs. the backs tell stories from all members (original to new) about heppenings on the road. stories like shooting up hotel rooms with bb guns women sneaking into their rooms.

cards 66-72 are welcome to the show. some great color photos in this subset with quotes about performing live.

cards 73-90 are the album covers of some of their 20 plus albums. the backs create 2 puzzles.

Parallels

There are two parallel sets. first off is the spit blood seeded 1 every 4 packs. the fronts of the cards have blood splatter (not real) across the front.

The second is the $ set. It has a green $ sign across the card fronts and are serial numbered to 50. Cards are seeded 1 in 24 packs.

Inserts

There are 2 insert sets in this product.

first up is the Snapshot series. These cards are plastic with a small window with a black and white picture of shows in the past. They are seeded 1 in 6 packs and the set contains 12 cards.

Second is the transformation set. it is a 6 cards set and is seeded 1 in 12 packs. the set is a motion type card with a picture of a band member with make up off and when you move the card it shows them with makeup on.

Press Pass did a great job with this set. I give the set a 4 1/2 star rating. The box a 3. We pulled no autos or memorabilia (which are 1:90 odds).

Again the set shows the flamboyacy and history of one greatest bands ever formed.
